About Me
A born Edmontonian with an insatiable passion for people.
People always ask me if I love real estate. My answer to this is that I love the opportunity the business of real estate affords me. The opportunity to meet people honestly at a level where I’m trusted to guide and assist. The process of buying and selling can often be some of the most stressful days of a persons life. My goal to have our experience together to be the exact opposite of that. I want to alleviate and head off the potential stressors that can come up during a transaction and It is my commitment to make the process of real estate as easy and pain free as possible. So when my client looks at me and says “that’s it?” I can smile and say back, “that’s it.” Honestly. And then naturally we high five… hug… cheers… or all of it.
To me real estate is so much more than just an address, or design, or the numbers. It’s getting to the heart of the situation and having crystal clear understanding of big and total picture. It’s maintaining an objective opinion while always having my clients best interests at heart, even if that means losing. Sometimes, it’s 11 pm phone calls, asking strangers for pens and taking notes on the back of your hand while standing in a lineup. It’s having tough conversations as eloquently as possible while remembering to laugh as much as humanly possible. It’s answering every single question, no matter how seemingly trivial in order to ease the uneasy and shift worry effortlessly into confidence. For me, It’s always remembering to be so very grateful and showing due appreciation and expressed gratitude to those who trust, and continue to recommend my services to friends and family over, and over. And most importantly it’s always working with respect and integrity, no matter. And all of that means loving what I do. And so in answer to the above question of whether or not I love real estate… clearly, I do.
I was born in YEG to a travel agent mother and CN father, both of whom were musicians. Thanks to CN my family moved around about every 4 years, … train brats was what the lifestyle was called. Having lived here and there all over Canada I decided I wanted to shoot a root down where I felt home to be… that decision not surprisingly that took me right back here, to Edmonton the heart of Alberta.
As well as being a licensed REALTOR I am also a rehabilitative therapist for four legged critters, business-woman, classical pianist, writer, walker, thinker, wine drinker and traveller. I am blessed to live in a super tiny house within a wonderful community located right in the heart of the city, at the foot of the North Saskatchewan River.
Life is beautiful and please shoot me if you ever catch me calling it boring.
I look forward to working with you, to meet your real estate goals ~ Treena L Michayluk
